Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to get a Bits’ n Pieces out! My sailing life has been hectic and I’ve got lots of projects going on. I guess I need to tell you about some of them!
All in a day’s work
I just finished a very tough but rewarding 101-104 class. Weather was an issue all week, so much so that the normal 6-day class took eight days! No winds, not light winds, but NO WINDS filled the first 2 ½ days. Day four, the day we normally set out for our overnight, came and with it a forecast for up to 35 knot winds. Do we go or not? That’s the question! In the end, we didn’t go. Thanks to the flexibility of Vince, Tyler, Doug and Jean we left on Sunday afternoon and had a great outcome. Nice big winds brought us home on Monday.
Meanwhile, Vince and I worked on the new Cruising Florida Powerboat Academy video! I spent a lot of time prepping for this and it all came off without a hitch! I can’t wait for Vince to get the edit done! Thanks for the added help of Patrick, Craig, and Cynthia; I think we have a winner! Look for it coming soon!
Have a new 101 starting today! Spencer, the new owner of Poco Loco is going to jump-start his new sailing career along with his girlfriend and buddy, Steve. Lets get ready to rumble!
